Is 6* too low for the bounce on a 48* PW ?

No expert, but not too much. Full shot clubs (which a PW is) should be low - I would have though 4-6 is ideal.

If used for more than full shots, then just be aware of the low bounce.

I have got a 52 with minus 1 degree bounce bought specifically for links golf, and a 54 with 4 degree for summer golf.

If I played a course where the sand was the same consistency all year round, the grass the same sort of length all year round and I only ever played on the one course I doubt that I would change my set up.

I played for years with just a wider sole 52 deg wedge in the bag, trouble was I wore it out and it had virtually no grooves left (and it was a cast club).

I play quite a few different courses and still use the same clubs - too tight to buy extra to play just as badly
