Well, as hinted earlier - if you were paying attention - the new wedges have arrived. I pondered over which to replace my aging Mizuno's with and tried lots at the local range.

Mizuno's - ok but fancied a change
Callaway - Don't like the rusty look and the chrome ones didn't look right.
Vokeys - Didn't get on with them at all.

Ah whats this in the corner? Ping Tour W?

Read a review a while back and it seemed they were ok. Good enough for Westwood so I gave them a go.

They felt sooo good. 9 or 10 sand wedge shots to a target 75 yards away all landed within 3 yards of each other and the rest were not far off. That's it. Gotta have these.

Got measured up and guess what? I'm the average golfer!!
Standard everything. Regular shaft, regular grip, black dot lie, the lot.

So no problem getting the clubs, 2 were in stock at the range so i had those and the 50 arrived this afternoon.

So, assuming I'm not under a blanket of snow tomorrow, they're going to get a good workout - can't wait.

If you're after a wedge try one of these - they've got some weight behind them but still feel soft.

I've been looking at them to replace my 52 & 56's.
I love my 60* calloway but not the 56 and my Mizzy is too short and an ugly club.

A change this winter me thinks!!
