Had my headcover 'stolen' from my golf club and needed a new one. My Pro has charged me £11 which I think is a tad steep.

Is the price reasonable?

Doesn't sound to bad, remember they have to make a living as well.

If your not convinced with the price, I have an old sock you could have for a couple of quid. ;)

Ask at AG or similar. When GM gave me my R7 Limited it dodn't have a head cover and I told them (Birds Hill) I bought it at the Slough branch and had lost it and they found me one for free.

On the subject of headcovers - modern ones are rubbish. All they do is cover the head! And before any wisecracks about "that's what they're supposed to do" let me clarify.

I like a headcover that protects the shaft as well. My G10 driver has a rub mark that would not have been there had Ping supplied a headcover with a "sock". I should have bought a replacement when I bought the driver but didn't get round to it until the mark was already there.

Imurg, I reported this when doing my testing on the G10 3 wood and I have noticed that when I carry my bag I place my right hand on the head of the driver which puts the weight onto the shaft causing the rub marks.

It seems that Ping are the worst for headcovers. I am using my dads G2 with the original cover (which he never used) and within 2 months i have rub marks on the shaft. My previous TM driver and my Wilson 3w and hybrids all have socks on the headcover

My G10 driver also has rub marks on the shaft from my irons. Worst head cover ever!
Wouldn't change the club for anything though.

My G10's haven't got any marks on yet, but based on what people are saying about the shafts marking up I think I will treat myself to some proper "sock" type covers.
Agree with you about the club though...awesome. And the 3 wood just sounds soooo sweet when you nail it. Shame the 5 wood has got a sky mark on it from the first time I "attempted" to hit it....
