And by the way. I won't be wearing white chinos today. They are a lovely coffee colour but I'm undecided whether to wear a black or an orange shirt.

These are new white ones Murph, that I haven't worn yet. A nice pair of Nikes purchased in the sale from Sports Direct.
My other white pair got ruined at Blackmoor when some wag thought it would be a good idea to put some blueberries on my chair at dinner when I wasn't watching.

The old timer was very well behaved (no dribblng, stained trousers or club throwing) and I got lucky after being in troiuble several times. Good fun day despite geting soaked in the last few holes. Nightmare journey there - M25 said very slow 7-5 so I took the decision to leave at Redhill - slow but steady on A25 to near Tandridge golf club where everyone else decided to turn off the M25 - it was standstill - decided to wing it through B roads balancing a map on my lap - eventually arrived at the club with 2 minutes to spare after a 3 hour slog - shoes on in car park and onto 1st tee - played rubbish for 2 holes - 3 over, then only dropped 1 more on font nine. Greens were slow as they had been tined and I never 3 putted and did several 1 puts - I imagine it would have been a harder beast had they been slick like they normaly are
