Great win for mickleson.
After the post yesterday about s&t or t&t it was great to see Phil play so well with an 'orthodox' swing.

Great round, lovely to see Mrs Mick there too, maybe puts Phil in a good place for the coming year, especially the masters.

Phil's swing is hardly orthodox - even allowing for hitting with the back of the club. Certainly works though!

Haven't been a particular fan of his but he does inspire devotion. Seems to have quietened down the celebrations slightly? Wonderful putt on 12 as reply to Wood's bunker shot!

Shame they didn't show last group up 18. Collapses of last round leaders seem to be the trend this year. That's 3 in a row!

Would be great if people could share their post round thoughts with not such an obvious title... I ma watching about an hour or so behind! There is a thread entitled Pebble Beach Spoilers !!!

Admittedly I didnt need to open it but its pretty obvious.

Im off for a little cry now.....

Apologies Scott, just for future ref, if I am watching a program behind time I don't log on to forums :)

No bother, I try not to look on here too much either just that with all the ads and shot centre etc, I was catching up on a few threads.

To be honest thats why I tend to cacth up so you can fast forward through all the rubbish.

Cracking round though eh - great to see Phil play like that, he is great to watch.

Seem to remember Butch Harmon saying that on the range Mickelson hits with a controlled swing, yet when he gets on the course he just tries to blast it as far as he can. Today he played with a swing under perfect control, and his putting wasn't bad either.;)

I think he realises now he wont even be considered a 'big' hitter with Dustin/Bubba etc so no point trying to be flash...

How many professional tour players were in the field for the 4 days?

... how many did Charlie Wi beat?

Was good to see Mickelson play well, as someone said on a previous thread; a few weeks ago Mickelson basically couldn't hit a cow's arse with a shovel.

Wi played well, just didn't hold up under the pressure of a Sunday.
I enjoyed the golf last night for a change, pebble looks like an amazing place, and a little different to most American courses so for me made it more interesting.
