Met up with Phil the Frag at Ascot yesterday for a game with him and Hywel. We went off the white tees and given that he'd come straight from the car after an 45 minute journey the first few holes were pretty tough. However once he got into his stride can see how Imurg struggles to keep him on a short lead. Off 26 on his day he'll be a real handful.

I acutally had a blinding front nine. Actually front 8 as I managed to lose a ball on 9 but not until it had hit the roof of the greenkeepers shed and rattled around a bit. DOH. I felt a little unwell on the back (see my hyper post) but did OK. Hywel couldn't get anything going all day but Phil was doing great. Undoubtedly his highlight of the day was rolling a putt in on 18 across the width of the green in front of the clubhouse windows.

It was great to meet him and he was fantastic company to play with. I think now he knows the course a bit if he comes with his game on June 9th he might just be a dark horse.

Don't worry Homer.
He's having a good time at the moment which means the crap play is just around the corner. :D
Trust me!

He parred our 18th the other day as well. 429 yards. Driver and a 5 iron that ran inches away from going in but 15 feet past. Comfy 2 putt with 2 shots - that's 4 for 2 for 4 please. And I still beat him! :p

Seriously though, a cut is coming and then we'll see him settle down a bit. Although he's not played to 26 yet he's almost there. Knock a couple of shots off and I can breath easy again.

He had a horror start but hit a blinder down our 3rd over that environmental area and was off and runing then. A couple of bad holes mainly down to chipping and putting but he'll definitely get there (and soon)

Watch out, Watch Out, Watch Out

There's a Fragger About

Thank you for your kind words

I feel that I am improving all the time, so a cut will come
then you can rest easy,

Until then, im officially dangerous (apparantly)

Had time for a quick 9 on the Blue course at Wexham Park, Slough today

havnt played since I was in my 20s and it has matured and looks really nice.

Managed to amass 20 points with a score of 44 Gross. Par is 34

so playing to about 20 handicap on this outing which is very encouraging.

Need to produce the same form in a comp now
