Personal worst.

My game was horrific yesterday. Stableford off the whites.
Started with a 6 for a point, just missed out on birdie on the 2nd but secured 3 points for par, then got to our short par 3.
Took too little club and tried to force it, resulting in the inevitable big pull, missed the green left and blob.
My driving then went totally to pot, I was coming over the top on every one and either hitting a horrible duck hook or straight lefts.
Had 11 points out, 7 in for an 18 point total.
To be fair, I could have had a few more points than that but on the back 9 in particular I knew I was heading for a car crash score so couldn't really be arsed and missed a few shortish putts because I didn't really want to be there.
I hate this game sometimes.

If only you knew someone who knows what they are talking about who could give you some advice about swinging easy

Not sure if this was a personal worst but must be up there....

Final medal of the year yesterday, fairways still firm but have lost the tennis ball bounce, greens very receptive and conditions benign. After a good warm up at Gatton Manor on Friday confidence was high.

Playing off 14. First hole is a sharp dog leg to the right. Hit a perfect drive right up to the elbow leaving 100yds to the green. 2nd went pulled into the greenside bunker. 3rd was thinned OB into the water behind the green. 4th penalty shot. 5th, 6th and 7th still in the bunker. 8th out and 2 putts for an opening 10.

Birdied the 2nd which is a Par 3 for a chink of light and the feeling that maybe I can pull this back. This was as good as it got and signed for a gross 107. Must be up there with one of my worst.

My playing partners were playing out of their skins and signed for net 65's and 63's respectively........

I took up golf as a junior so like most juniors i had a decent handicap by the time I could buy beer and my worst scores were as a 13 year old

I do remember playing in a junior open at Kingsnowe in Edinburgh, they allowed girls to play and also allowed them to have a handicap of up to 72.

Well i was paired with a girl with the maximum and farcical handicap, i think she scored around a million

I recently reported a round when I only scored 19 points on here. This was despite actually hitting the ball quite well, and in a period when I was generally playing pretty well. It was just that on the day nothing went right, unlucky bounces into bunkers or deep rough, hitting trees, finding water, never making an up and down despite coming close several times, etc. I expect to have one or two bad holes in a round, but on that day every hole seemed to be a bad hole. It happens sometimes! :(

I has 13 points in a stapleford this year playing off 14, this coming just a few weeks after I had had the best spell of golf I have ever had. Amazingly I didn't come last.

My two playing companions at the society day at West Herts GC on Monday scored 16 and 15 points for the round, but they are both good golfers on their day. :)
