Pedro rode into town

Well done HTL on a great performance. It's good to see that you are starting to realise your potential when it counts. Keep up the good work. Class will out eventually. :) :) :)

However a smiley is not necessarily a waiver for how a post may sound upon reciept.

Sorry Homer but I'm with Pants on this one. I was always under the impression that smileys were used to replace those little facial expressions, intonations, body language etc that are part of normal conversation but can't be seen or heard via a keyboard. I saw Pant's "tongue in cheek" comment and took it as I'm sure he intended - as, in the words of Monty Python, " nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more, say no more" type of comment. As on occasions before, you have yourself got very "personal" with him/her when you possibly have not read the post correctly and taken note of the smiley intonations. As you are often telling others who get up your nose, why don't you just block Pants' posts if you don't get his humour?

After all this is the whole problem with this thread.

No mate, the thread title was the start of the problem. Don't blame others.

Now, what was that about Tiger? Don't get me started on that again.... :D :D :D

I'm off to Tescos in a sec, does anyone want anything while I'm there? :)
what you get at tesco :D

I got some mince (cooking chilli tomorrow), some bread, ham, chicken... nothing special and sorry Slugger, no comfy chairs.
Has anyone got a good chilli recipe?

Yup. Makes a good batch.

3 Chipotle Chillis
1 Habanero Chilli
4 cloves garlic
3 onions
1 carrot
2 sticks of celery
1 tbsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Ground Coriander
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1kg of Stewing Steak (use mince if you've got it but stewing steak is better for texture)
2 Cans of Tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 beef stock cube
1 bay leaf
Salt & Pepper

Boil 440ml water
Soak Chipotle and Habanero chillis in water for 20 mins.
Blitz in food processor with water until pureed.
Finely chop onions, garlic, carrot and celery
Brown steak/mince in batches until nice and brown
Once browned set aside
Fry chopped onions, garlic, carrot & celery for 5 mins scraping all the juicy brown bits off the bottom of the pan
Add spices (except chillis)
Fry for about 1 minute
Return meat to pan and stir to coat in spices and veg
Pour over tomatoes and chilli & water
Add stock cube, salt & pepper & bay leaf.
Simmer for 2-3 hours very gently.
Add kidney beans half an hour before serving.
Garnish with fresh coriander for colour & taste!
