How rubbish is the coverage on Sky?

Johnson gets an eagle and we don't see it until 25 minutes later!!! And then they go to a commercial...... :mad:
 
Sky cant show anything, They have to wait for the producers on the other side to roll the VT's. Thats why the guys in the studio are left wondering what to talk about because they are having to do so much of it. Even they are getting annoyed with it.
 
To be fair, they've apologized plenty and by the sounds of it they're going to try and do something about it. They're actually doing not a bad job of filling the time to be honest.
 
Its always been a problem with US coverage and was the same whether it was on Sky or Setanta. Funnily enough when it when to Eurosport unless it was just my ageing brain, there did seem to be less ad breaks.

To be honest I think the guys in the studio are doing a decent enough job filling in the blanks. I like Roe and even if I don't always agree with his viewpoint he makes interesting viweing. He just needs to get a better wardrobe of clothes.
 
I do like Pugh and Roe, They should give us some of those lessons they do on golf night to fill the time! Still, we'd prob only be watching Holmes' 18 practice swings if they didnt have ad breaks so often
 
I mean heres a good example of how poor the coverage is....on the PGA website, I could see that Luke Donald went OB on the 18th and has now played 4 shots and still has 116 yds to the flag.
5 minutes after I knew this, Sky flash up Donalds scorecard showing up to hole 17 and saying if he can birdie the last hole he has a good chance of getting up the leaderboard.

Now admittedly, they can only go on the US coverage, but you're not telling me that NO ONE at Sky studios has a laptop and isn't following events online. They should at least be passing accurate info to the presenters instead of letting them give out old duff info!!!

Quite enjoying it, watching 2 pros take 9 on the par 5 14th was worth all the ad breaks!

Hoping Duval can win it, Johnson just bunkered on 17, fingers crossed he'll take at least bogey.

Good stuff this week.

Sorry bout that jinx, Duval is class, great to see him contend 2 weeks in a row.

yeah, I like Duval, but not when he's up against my man!!
He only needs an up & down for the title...i can see a play off coming up....exciting stuff whatever the outcome. :D
 
Good bunker shot on 18, looks like it's all over....maybe? Hope not!
