Pay off time

Funny but I was taught the sweetspot is on the middle of the clubface and not on the hosel. Funny what they teach in the PGA exams these days. I've given up looking for a textbook swing and I'm aiming low and one that repeats more than it doesn't. If I can get a short game to click and I have days like St Pierre regularly then I'll stick with that thank you

Sure. I was only joking with the op. As long as you are happy, who am I to judge?

I've known you long enough to recognise that. Sometimes feel I get battered metaphorically for wanting to try and get better. I'm happy with the way its going and glad to find a teacher that keeps it simple. The first guy I had was the same until he kept going into hospital for surgery and so was out of action for long periods hence the change to the second coach. Far more technical I had to think more to implement the changes and for it to work. The last two lessons proved what I kind of new for a while that I was stagnating with him and getting too bogged down. This new guys is like the first one and to a degree it is substance over style but within certain parameters. Much less thought process over the ball which is ideal for me. Seems strangely quiet inside my head these days when I play without 7925 thoughts jostling for attention. I don't think three teachers in six years is actually excessive.

Wednesdays are good for me.....Royston is about 30 miles from me...up the A1, come off at the Baldock turn and straight up the A10 to Royston....its just the othe side...

Forgot to add, it also includes 50 range balls each, so you can get your shanks out of the way before we hit the course.......

so that's.....tea/coffee, bacon/sausage roll, 50 balls on range, 18 holes golf.....all for the princely sum of £9 each on a course that I'm led to believe is pretty decent.....now that's a Tricky Ricky deal!!

Is it twinned with Lydd at that price?

I hope that even with an improved swing, better ball striking, lower scoring, you are still going to be the usual miserable git on the course ? At my age I can't cope with too much change.

My coach is a golf coach, so yes, it is still me on the end of the stick.

My mates call me morrissey.

OK will check with the club as soon as I get my voucher through....Fundy...you in as well?....Pieman fancy making it a 4 ball?......looking at their website, it looks like they do a winter special on Wednesdays for £12.50.
That includes a bacon baguette but no tea/cofee or range balls........still pretty cheap though....

Great to know what your working on is working.
All this talk of coaches,i might have to start looking into getting my own.[not]
Hope to see this new Chris in action soon,

I think it's great that you have kinda fallen in love with the game again and are prepared to put in the leg work to get a swing that you are happy with. Playing at a decent track must really help you stay motivated.

Assume thats hes buying it then, you want me to send the money (paypal or bank) or sort it out when we play next? (he says angling for his invite ;) )
it can wait til we play at New Malton........anyway back on topic.....I know you're a gambling man......how many shanks do you think Chris will have?

Me, a gambling man, never lol

Personally I think by the time we get a date organised the swing will be bedded in and he wont have any shermans!! (ok if were having a sweep Ill vote for 2)
