Well where do i start? Played in the Mens Medal today and it took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the 6th green in a 2 ball. I was playing not too bad but when you have 3 groups waiting on every tee you get too it becomes almost impossible to build a good round together. We decided too walk in and im glad i did as one guy said it took him 3 hours and 15 minutes to get to 9th green  then he decided to walk in too. I dont know what happened to slow things down but i do know one thing, i wont be playing in another Mens Medal this year or until they sort the problem out!!. Rant over and good night ;)

Ye must have a course ranger like ours Owen.....He may as well be a girl guide

Maybe it was the heat slowing everyone up?

I'm thinking of swapping my trolley for a camel tomorrow.

Anyone know how to dispense water from a camel?

Joys of Golf fella. Costs too much + Takes too long!

Don’t blame you walking in, I would have done the same.

I have to be honest and say I didn't watch the game this afternoon and opted to play and work on a few things. I had the entire course to myself. Not a soul in sight. Blissful.

I have to be honest though and say if I was playing a medal that took over 3 hours to do nine holes I'd be making sure there was a letter into the captain and committe demanding to know why they let things get that bad and what they plan to do about it. I don't care if it is hot or a medal, three hours is unacceptabel. End of.

I got round in 3 1/2 hours playing two balls, stopping to hit bunker shots, chips and putts and looking for a couple of wayward shots. All of that in same time it takes a medal round to do 9. Do me a favour. I'd be looking to play elsewhere

Well after a few letters into the captain from various people, things are going to change apparently to help speed things up :). I wont be leaving or anything as its took me about 2 years to get used to the course and get to know most of the people there(some good friends now). Now do i play in next weeks medal ;)

Of course you do and if its just as bad you and your partners complain in writing again until changes are made. Most clubs do listen to their members (or should if they want to hold onto them) and so if they can implement changes, give them time to make a thought out decision (and not a knee jerk reaction that pleases no-one) and see where you go from there.
