Tour Winner
I will Danny.
Irrelevant as to whether you like or loathe him, Farage was cool as a cucumber and Farage (between the two) came out head and shoulders above him where intellect and structure were concerned.
It was clear from his 2nd sentence that Brand had an agenda for the evening, not anti-labour and not anti-conservative (Lib dems weren't even mentioned by anyone) but simply to attack Nigel Farage at the earliest convenience and this trend continued throughout the show.
I was delighted when Brand was brought to task by an audience member quite 'passionately', he was uncomfortable and I have to say, was delighted watching Brands face twitch and squirm as he was shown to be nothing but a talker of big words with no skills or substance to be able to ever back it up with.
At the same time, some crazy woman heckled Farage whenever possible, calling him racist etc. She too was put down, not by the panel, but by the audience.
I'd never vote UKIP (and more than likely none of em) and whilst I don't like agreeing with Brand on the one point in "give us something to vote for" I have to say that from the full panel only Farage and a journalist came out with any credit.
Watch it on iPlayer mate - a good watch. The Labour and Con representatives were useless!
I saw the whole lot too and totally agree with the review above. I would also add that Brand came across as a bit sexist (using the phrase 'Luv' more than once), talking over the ladies on the panel, particularly the Lab and Con MPs. His only 'support' from the audience seemed to be leftish students and that mad lady at the back gunning for Farage.
Brand says he refuses to vote, saying there's nothing to vote for. He also doesn't want to stand as in indie. In my mind, he doesn't have a political voice, but as we all know he wants to change the system through revolution and anarchy.
