We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
Good on him, I'm glad he had a good weekend scoring. It must be annoying for him all the questions querying his own selection. Paddy did not pick himself, Monty picked him so ask Monty if anyone about why it is Paddy and not Casey at Ryder Cup.
Here's to Paddy having a stormer next weekend (as well as 11 others!!)
Let's hope he has found something,I shot a great round yesterday but played like a *** today, that is how fickle this game is but maybe just maybe he has found it as there wasn't the mistakes on his card today like there has been of late.
He had a good round yesterday as well and so it wasn't exactly a one round wonder. As I said when I went to the Monty clinic when asked who would you have holing out from 5 feet to win the cup all his VC's picked Harrington. They obviously have faith in him. I think leave him out of the foursomes but play him in the fourballs and he'll be gritty and hard to beat
If nothing else the weekend rounds will have sent the tabloids on to another story rather than the doom and gloom and why did you pick him.
Padraig has been very bad with the driver, Radar reckons he is trying too hard to hit every drive over 300 yards, thus they are going with military execution (left-right, left-right).
I am glad Padraig had a good weekend as he is going to play the Irish PGA at my local course "Seapoint" this weekend to try for a fourth successive victory.
The event was won by a club pro David Mortimer who had an eagle on the 18th to beat Damian Mc Grane by 1.
So good luck Padraig and all of Monty's men in what will be a fantastic weekend in South Wales.
