Hey Guys

Looking to book an outing for a group of 8-12 players from Edinburgh-

We are looking at south east scotland maybe northumberland (withing 1.5hours from Edinburgh)

Any ideas for few courses which offer value for money and good deals?? Our party is mixture of players ranging from 2 handicap to 22handicap

Any help appreciated

What time of year is the trip planned for, as that may have a bearing on suggested venues. Is there a preference for a Links track or a Parkland course? Also, how much are you looking to spend, per head?

Any off the courses in north northumberland are worth a game all offer a great welcome and a well maintained course. if you are looking for links Goswick and Dunstanburgh are excellent tracks Bamburgh has stunning views and during in the season is in excellent condition for parkland Burgham park further down (nearer morepeth) is a very good parkland course i wont name them all but as i say if you cross the border no matter what track you play you will get a good game. Eyemouth on the scottish side is worth a game and more central borders roxburgh would be a good day out.

Hope this helps

We would like to try and get a mixture of links and parkland style courses....

Price wise we will be look for sort of £30-£40 maybe some food built into price may be nice!!!

Morpeth area i feel will be far to much of a treck for the lads, thanks for tips though

Thanks guys.

Spoke to few lads and have found few packages available connecting few clubs

Need to pick 3 out of 4 courses in the package (Hirsel, Kelso, Eyemouth, Duns)

Looking at June time now !!!

Played the Hirsel and Duns before. Middle of March 1991. It was bloody freezing and blowing a gale! Stayed at a hotel in Duns, only cost us about £130.00 for the week half board. My first taste of haggis. Yum yum.
