Out of hole - can't putt?

When I conceded the putt in identical circumtances (to prevent her giving the line to her opponent who *could* score) I was accused of being "unsporting" !

 They wanted their 2 bites of the cherry! Excepting their likely lack of awareness of ability to concede and prevent it, I bet they wouldn't have been happy if the circumstances had been reversed and it was you that had a chance to show your partner the line!

In the OP scenario the result of the hole has not been decided (player's partner still has a putt for win/half) would that make a difference to the right of the player who is out of the hole continuing, given the wording of 7-2?

I've actually a bit of a question about me being out of the hole if I can't myself win or half it. 4BBB is a team game surely and until I have picked my ball up I am still in the hole as part of the team. Were it to be the case that I was out of the hole if I could not win or half it - consider scenario that I am out of the hole and my partners ball hits my bag. My PP would I suspect have to take the shot penalty for hit my (his PPs) bag
