OK I still have the £90 voucher I have no idea what to do with. I have come up with an idea though...

After seeing a few on here get new PCs with 7950s in them I think I would like a bit of that action.

Currently I have a 6870, its a good card (msi hawk version) and I have no FPS issues with any of the games I play (max most out) but of course GTA 5 will put an end to that :D

I am thinking of getting a 7950, selling my old card and using my discount, meaning I pay about £100 or just under for the new card as long as I get a decent amount for the 6870...

Sounds like a decent idea but the voucher is valid for a while still, was given it in Dec last year and its valid for 12 months...

Just popping this up for a bit of discussion as I am pondering what to do.

do it....DO IT.......DO IT..........DO IT

I have a good card- Radeon 5850 HD but the 7950 is a great card and future proofs you longer

GTA iV was poorly ported to pc, even uber machines struggled with it due to the poor coding (lots of tweaks & mods were needed)

GTA V will be best on console tbh as pc will just be a port imho. My 4890 oc is showing its age now :(

A 7950 is one heck of a card thats why I went for it. It should last years before needing to upgrade. I always find its best to go with something thats not the best (690's and £800) but will give you best value and I thnk this card is it (even better if its been oc'd). Make sure your mobo can take it and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
