Managed to win my first round summer knockout match in what can only be described as a torrential afternoon :/ the rain didn't let up from the first hole to the last!

However battling on I managed to secure a solid 5 and 4 victory to kick off the season with a pretty satisfying win

Onto bigger and better things

Got a Medal Wednesday - saw a Guy today with a beard carrying loads of planks and muttering something about a boat and some animals...........

Hasn't stopped today and by all accounts Wednesday's going to be even worse.

Not sure it's going to happen!

Midweek medal due Thursday. 50/50 whether I'll actually bother as the forecast isn't great. Great win though in tricky conditions and 5 and 4 is a bit of a pasting

I played today, just a quick shower in between nice sunshine.

However the forecast for the rest of the week is not looking good and I am playing every day - three ties and a team match so cancelling not really an option.... fingers crossed the weather bods have got it wrong big time! :lol:

Nope - went to the funeral of a golfing friend who died after a fairly short illness, aged 81, who was playing 3 times weekly until January this year. He must have been laughing his socks off as it was perfect golfing weather this afternoon as we all rolled up in suits and black ties - he would have loved that.
