On course reports from your iPhone- with live photos

This is sad... but I'm bored.

Playing around with the photobucket app and discovered a good way of uploading photos to the forum straight from the iPhone. Take a photo in the app, copy the image code after it has automatically uploaded to photobucket then post via safari.

Hoping this will be handy for golf trips away as I don't have a laptop and it's easy peasy. Only setback is the 2 megapixel camera.Here's an example I just took. Will be much used at Castle Stuart I'm sure, where I'm away from the Mac for 4 days.

I know a lot of forumers have iPhones now so thought I'd share. Now I really must go find a life!

yeah, i like that idea, however i am using nokia 5800 at the moment(nokias equivalent allegedly) so wonder what i can do with this....hmmmmmm i feel an experiment coming on!

This is the club I was talking about that felt a bit shorter than my own driver. I felt really comfortable and manageable, hence my trip down to the shop on Thursday to an inch hacked off mine. I'll obviously post the results as soon as the white stuff disappears.

Seriously, the posture is looking real good with the shorter driver. You just "look" like you're gonna hit a good one....and if it looks like you will then you probably will. You've definitely made the right choice.

How long did it take you between taking the photo and it being on the forum? Mine was about 2 mins. Not condoning holding up the course but with a bit of practice the process can be pretty quick and almost "Twitter-like" for real time news and photos.

And where were you? Looks nice.

This was in Florida(Palms)in October, so all in all about 5 months from phone to forum.
Seriously though, Toad took this photo and it was already in my photobucket account, but I used my phone with the app to post it here. Easily done while waiting for someone else to tee off etc.
I did hit a good one here incidentally. Too good in fact, I hit it in line with the fountain, ran out of fairway and landed in the rough which hampered my chances of making it in two. This is the 14th.

Good App that John must give it a try,does Pelz have anything in his book about velcro grips on wedges so you cant chuck them after a duffed chip

I have resolved the wedge chucking problem, Steve. They now just go straight over the knee. Much more satisfying. I'm down to American Golf in the morning to have 2 re-shafted. Worth every penny.

Just downloaded the app and created an account. It's not the sort of thing I'd normally do but it might be useful sometime.

for those who use the iPhone on here, all the pics show as question marks in a box on my iPhone, is there a setting on my phone or the site that I can change, or can I not see pics on the site from my phone?

Edit : When the page reloaded after my post I could see the smileys, my pic, and the pic in biffas signature, but no others... strange

Not encountered any probs seeing all my Photobucket photos on the iPhone through the app. Glad I uploaded some as I lost a few when I switched from PC to Mac, including this one of the Madandra triplets with MikeH. There's a lot to be said for storing photos online.
