The perfect choice in my opinion. Won his two majors in the States and is apparently very well respected by American officials, players and fans.

Can imagine him being quite like Langer and approaching the job very meticulously. Will be interesting to see whether he'll ask for the qualifying system to be altered, and whether he'll go for two or three Captain's picks.

Still havny heard anything on the Monty Knighthood front.....mystifying.

I heard that they offered it but he's waiting for canonisation

that apart, Monty suited the moment, he wouldn't suit the US whereas Ollie could be spot on.
