Oh Tiger....

Big difference between chipping and ripping a driver round your spine at 117mph

Now please folks, this isn't a Tiger bashing post.

Agreed, ripping a driver etc. I think that's been one of Tigers problems - trying to muller the ball. I'm sure if he slows his swing even a little, which he will surely have to with his recovery, he might keep more drives on the fairway.

But hang on........

.........what do I know, playing off a 23 handicap!!!

Sorry, can't do smilies for some reason when I've clicked "Advance".

I think it will be a shame if his career ends due to injuries. Like him or not, the game has grown exponentially with him at the forefront.

Any tournament is better for him being in it, the fact that even after the "shocking" run he has had he got back to number one in the world. Kinda makes a mockery of claims that there are better out there.

RE the Ryder Cup, i hope he is there as he strangely has a poor record in it!

Don't care. He's yesterday's man.

I'll wear the lazy hater tag with pride.

It's good for golf that he'll never break the 18.

If you don't agree, you're nothing but a ˌsycophantic fan boy

I agree the 18 is unlikely, but it took 3 months lay off for anybody to overtake him in the rankings.

Fan boy or not, he is still consistently the best player atm.

Of course i'm a fan boy so none of what i said is true.

 I was wondering how many posts it would take before someone spouted this old chestnut out.

Might be old but as has been pointed out, it's valid.

Love the Tiger bashing.

Where's the Tiger bashing? If he is playing the golf he is capable of there is no-one I'd rather watch. But we see little enough golf in-between the commercial breaks as it is, without wasting it on someone who is not playing well. Producer or VT Editor bashing, yes, but not Tiger bashing.

But yeah, not tiger bashing but I do wish we saw less of him when he's not in contention. Although, that's not his fault.

Exactly.

Fan boy or not, he is still consistently the best player atm. no he's not Adam Scott is :o Tigers not even top 2

the world no 1 means very little.

There is a theory that he hand picks his events, courses with the right balance of ranking points, and massive fairways. :o

Still it's good for the sponsors if he's up there:thup:

Ok, when fully fit and not out injured he is the number one golfer. As shown by the fact he got back there after his break and it took him being out for Scott to overtake him.
To say he was only top due to cherry picking his events is imo laughable. He still had to beat the field did he not?

He also particaptes less than others therefor not gaining easy points for turning up.

Hey, i like him. You clearly don't. But top belittle the standard of player his is, imo is ridiculous.

Anyway, re op. Wish he was there as he's still better than most to watch imo.

Anyways, that'll do for now. good night  (i believe this is the "i'm right smiley")

it's not my theory, just 'a' theory, but he doesn't play courses he doesn't fancy

:thup:I'm not sure what this means, apart from don't take any of it too seriously

I have to say in my opinion Woods won't break the record of majors but that said it will be sad if he can't recapture his form. I hope he comes back only when he is fit and ready and doesn't try and force it. Will he get back to #1 again? Possibly but it won't be for lack of trying and as long as the body holds up and he can play at full tilt he'll be worth watching again

If the operation (recuperation more correctly) is a success he will, imo, definitely be No1 again - he's still young enough, definitely fit enough and motivation has never been an issue.

I for one look forward to seeing him on TV again :D
