Oh Tiger....

It's 8 weeks since his surgery and he hasn't made a full swing yet.
Some were saying that the op he had can take 6 months to heal fully.....
It wouldn't surprise me if we don't see him back playing this year....

Everyone recovers differently, give Tiger a break this time, he'll probably miss The Open as well, but it takes as long as it takes for that kind of surgery. He'll recover, but he has to o it at the pace his body sets.

At least he's looking to play competitive golf this year. I will have to wait 'til next season for that goal after my surgery.

Blue in Munich got there already!!

Shame he's not playing due to his back... could it be a career ender?

I can't seen him competing in any major this year, maybe not even another tournament. Why rush back when a prolonged period of recovery and winter recuperation and practice will see him back fitter, stronger and swinging well ready for 2015.

It could be. How many big operations can the body handle before it no longer performs to its peak. The guy is super fit, no doubt, but the engine is getting older even if the chassis is still in great condition.

I personally think he will be back, but I don't think he will be back winning regularly. After the surgery there is every chance a new swing will be required and that would set him back even further in his quest for Jacks record.

Common sense approach really no point rushing back and potentially having to call it a day early. Can't see tiger making hoy lake either in fact got to be good chance the masters 2015 is his next major

Would like to see him back playing but he needs to rest up properly, no point rushing back and risk aggravating it. Hopefully the open, but definitely for the Ryder cup.

But yeah, not tiger bashing but I do wish we saw less of him when he's not in contention. Although, that's not his fault.

I really hope he is fit for the Ryder Cup - Europe need him fit.

Golf is moving on without it all being about Tiger and it's great to watch tournaments without the telly pictures just following Tiger - it maybe an old chestnut but it's valid and true - it's not Tigers fault but it happens and I would prefer to see all the golfers as opposed to just one.

...and I'll keep it alive by repeating it any chance I get:rolleyes:

have a day off Tiger bashers please, it's very dull.

I hope he can make the Open, I know that's still on his radar

It's a Tiger Woods thread and people will post their valid opinions about Tiger Woods

If you don't like reading it I'm sure you can either not read the thread or use the ignore function

Whilst Tiger will have had the best care possible and the best physio and rehab that money can buy it's all down to his body healing and his mind being able to make his body do what it did before during the golf swing. Whilst the surgeon will have said when Tiger can start on soft short game shots, there's a long way to go before Tiger is ready to hit his trademark shots out on the course. Add to that the physical effort needed to walk the course as well as play the shots.
Having undergone surgery ten days before Tiger and having had great physio both in hospital and since getting home, I doubt if I could yet even walk nine holes on the course never mind play those holes.

Tiger will be back when he is ready, but, it'll be next year before we see him at his best, whatever that may be.

yes I know its about Tiger, thanks for pointing it out though:thup:

I like Tiger so wont ignore posts, just pointing out your incessant repetitive negative posts about Tiger, maybe you don't realise your doing it now:rolleyes:

Dear Santa, please let Tiger make the Open but then miss the cut, then let him get a wild card to the Ryder Cup and let him mess it up so that the USA loses due to him, thank you

There is life without Tiger :smirk:
