Not wanting to threadjack Deke's post i have an old 2 ball that i use and one thing that is an issue is distance control on putts around the 20ft mark....When looking at the face its full of little cracks.....
Has anyone else seen this......

Also i was thinking of maybe changing it for the new metal X two ball and was wondering has anyone tried any of those and what are they like.

I had a go on both the #7 and 2 ball metal x in American golf the other day. Obviously their putting surfaces aren't the best to base an opinion on but I found the insert faster off the face than both the milled scotty cameron and the wilson staff putters which I tried.

Maybe the contrast seemed greater as I was switching between a white ice insert and metal x one but the metal x felt far too pingy for my liking.
