I think I may have OCD but I have a set of ping s56 irons and some of the black numbering on the sole of the club has gone. I know this doesn't effect performance and I'm sure it has happened the everyone else. Does anyone have any fixes???

Easy. Just get some black nail varnish. Paint it in and let it dry for a couple of minutes. Wipe excess off with a flat folded tissue and nail polish remover/white spirit.

Repeat if necessary.

Or small tin of humbrol modelling paint like the stuff you use on airfix toys. Lasts years. I dab it into the number with bog roll on the end of my finger then use a clean flat piece to wipe over the top of the number a couple of times to remove any excess. It's simple and always does a great job.

I haven't tried it myself but I have seen club repairers use the following method.
Humbrol model paint applied with the tip of a straightened paper clip. Results were excellent.

Half of mine have gone too, I may paint them but not sure if its needed. Adds life to them if anything.

Don't like scratches on my woods and putter though.

i am going to paint the numbers of my old mizuno irons that i am reshafting. should look pretty sweet when finished. i have the image in my mind. i just hope the real thing looks as good!
