I thought saturday was the worse round of the year but today was horrific to say the least! played of 13 and scored 14 points!!!!! It was a round complete with pull, shank, hook, topped etc. I played every WRONG shot in the book and at the same time invented a few more!!!! I am soo down and out........my only hope is a golf lesson tomorrow evening. 8 iron and above i seem to hit ok ish but anything below that bet your house i will pull it!!! The worse part was I keept saying to my self that it cant get any worse now but it just carried on getting worse!!! Even the guys I played with had a look of sympathy for me!!! I am beginning to think that I made a mistake in upgrading my bats!!!!

I have solved your problem Crawford you have picked up some left handed bats by mistake. I have a very nasty straight pull left in the bag at the moment, which only just misses my knee.

I had taylormade burner superlaunch, it was effortless to get the ball up. Now I got JPX 800 pro. on the launch monitor I was hitting it 13 yards longer. I am not blaming the clubs as on my good day I can have any club and I will hit just as long.
I was doing the same thing about 6 months ago and it took 1 lesson to sort it out. I hope tomorrows lesson does the trick.

It is NEVER the clubs fault that you can't hit/use them.

It's never the club's fault but it could be that the club is at fault - wrong shaft, wrong head bias, wrong size etc etc.

don't feel too bad, put it down to a "freak" round

last week i was at the driving range shanking almost every shot,

i was in a bay on the left hand side, my golf balls were flying across virtually everybody elses bay at the range

talk about embarrassing


it was soo bad i couldn't think of a cure just tried to forget about it,



next round on the weekend i played 2 shots under my handicap

Sounds like a classic over the top swing... which will lead to a pull, slice or shank at worse.
Get down the range and take some practice swings with the upturned basket just off the toe of the club when at address.
Then hit some balls trying come from the inside on the d/swing and not launch the basket down the range.
