Nikica Jelavic

Makes me laugh when folk knock Scottish football and the likes of Adam, Fletcher and Jelavic star straight away in the world famous EPL.

The standard of the Scottish league is poor, however there are some good players lurking about up there as you mention, I thought Adam would be a really good signing for LFC but he has been shocking Fletcher could be a good buy for somebody though if he leaves Wolves.

Adam can change a game with one pass, Fletcher jury is out on him.

Ther has been some pretty neat football played in Scotland this season. I think we are about to see a wind change that probably would have happened without the Rangers fiasco.

Adam was great at Blackpool but since he has been at LFC it has not happened perhaps he is better at being a big fish in a smaller pond like at Blackpool. I quite like Fletcher I think he is a decent finisher and target man. Jelavic has been a revelation must be in double figures nearly now after today.

When we first signed Jelavic I did have my doubts but it looks like Moyes has found another star on the cheap.

It's just a shame we didn't have him for the start of the season because we were playing pretty good football but just couldn't buy a goal.

Liked the look of him at Rangers but I am a bit suprised how quickly he has settled in. Him and Pienaar have made a real difference

Charlie Adam is up there with Andy Carroll, Stuart Downing and Jordan Henderson in the group of massively overrated players that Liverpool have signed.

Don't get me wrong, they're good players but not Liverpool players in my humble opinion

As a Fulham fan I have to say there was little doubting Jelavic's talent at Goodison yesterday. I think he's a good buy and whether you accept the level of Scottish football is poor or not he has made the transition to the PL and is scoring goals, and some crackers at that. I think he's proved already he's more than good enough to be a big part of an improving Everton side.

Have to say I think he will score 15 to 20 next season in all comps,he's got 10 this season already and he's only been playing since Feb and not started all the games, I know Moyes is already looking for somebody else to go up front with him,Jordan Rhodes has been mentioned as has Steven Fletcher at Wolves, if they can get one of those as well I think there will be loads of goals in them. Pienaar has also been key as well and he says he wants to go back to Goodison which will be a massive lift.

Reserve judgement lads,I still maintain he will not be a great buy........

He has already repaid the £5 million we paid for him i reckon with the goals he has scored.

Without his goals we would be in the bottom half of the table.

Plus Pienaar coming back has been a massive help.

Just shows what having a goal scorer can do for the side. If you get somebody else to play up there with him then the signs for next season are good. Pienaar is a quality player and if you can get him back as well you should be in good shape

Typical Everton thing though, is as soon as they get 2-3 good players through or signed, they then sell 2-3 of their good players, so going back to square one. It is hard for them to build a great team, due to them not having a sugar daddy, or someone who will put 40-50 million in, so they can get to the next level.

I still think that Moyes could not do it at the top end, but who knows until he is given that chance/money?

Your right they do. However with the exception of Leighton Baines who I think could end up at Man Utd I don't think this Summer there will be anybody to sell or anyone that will be that sought after so I think it might be a bit different this time around, one or Two squaddies may go yes but first teamers cant see it really.

Fellaini could get you 15-20 mill plus, you could get Ross Barkley before he becomes a regular first teamer, so getting him cheaper than what his potential may become.

I would buy baines for 15 mill, if I was fergie.

Not sure who would go for Fellaini though to be honest. Ross Barkley heard great things about him but never seen him play so cant comment on him. I would sell Baines for £15 Mil though as he is nearly 28 and only cost £6 Mil, so spend the £6 mil on another left back and put the other £9 mil to the bank to clear of more of the debt that they have which is minor compared to most clubs. Moyes has a knack of uncovering talent so if I were a Blue I wouldn't be that worried.

Even us foxes were linked with him for £5m when good old Sven was here, wish we'd bought him instead of beckford!! Looks a good player but time will tell.

Is there anyone else out there who thinks Carroll is a decent player playing in a poorly managed team.

Hmmm maybe, i really just think it's a confidence thing.

Take a look at Torres, been shocking all season and just looked like a lost little boy but the goal last week against Barcelona has done him wonders. He was back to his best again today.
