I got my driver back from Nike today. It's a bit like triggers broom. New head, new shaft, new grip (ie: a new club), but with my old head cover. Nice of them to replace it, given that I returned it out of warranty (just) with no proof of purchase.
I was a bit worried they might try to fix the old one. That wouldn't have worked at all, I'd already tried that.

Only problem is, I've bought another one now, so I guess I've got a spare one for the wardrobe.

If they have sent you a brand new driver cant you take it back to where ever you bought your new driver from, pretend it is that driver, and get a refund from them?

That said, my last 6 rounds I've somehow knobbed it round in 80 or less every time.

Awesome.

Shot a slightly indifferent 78 today. level par out, then got a bit nervy (why?, because I'm mentally weak) and hit 6 over on the back 9.

Oi! I do play with plenty of guys I know. I just can't play with you lot.

And I miss counted yesterday, I was 1 under on the back 9, not level. First time I have been under par for 9 holes.

(I was 3 under (back 9) at Copthorne last week after going out 5 over and could hardly hit a cows arse with a rolling barn door on the front 9. Funny old game)
