Been offered one of these at a reasonable price, if you have/had one are they any good?

I can't get out on the course to try it with the terrible weather conditions!

I like mine, have actually got stiff and regular shafts for it, it's extremely low launch with my swing. So intend to use stiff in summer for exta run, but now I use the regular and it carries better.

I have one, I love it.
Have the stock stiff kurokage in it, set at 9.5 neutral. Swing speed 110ish mph.

What would you like to know?

what sort of distance are you getting with those speeds mate? Looking to follow and weight programme to increase power. Just curious what th increase may brjng me.

Hi,

Does it seem really unforgiving on slight miss hits??

I have found that the face seems very hot even on miss hits. Personally I think it's quite forgiving on off centre hits. Heel or toe hits have good ball speed and not too much curve. If you've got the face/path all askew there's not a driver in the world that'll help.

I'm one of (the few) advocates of strength training for golf on the forum. I have no business hitting it far, but years of weights has given me some reasonable speed and power. Not super long, but longer than average.
I've given up discussing distance on here, it just degenerates into arguments.
Anyway, I'm not very diligent about using the measure shot function on my GPS so don't have much info to give you. Long enough, longer than most that I play with, but not all!

I agree, my dad is bigger than yours easily descends wen discussing distance. But I think you've answered my question. I'm current in assuming that as a result if weight training you noticed an increase if distance?

Well, I came to golf late, after spending lots of years in the weight room, so the speed and power was there when I started. I haven't been as diligent with my training for a while and I am convinced that my distance "potential" is now lower than it was. In reality I hit it further on average because my technique has improved.
Power is nothing without technique, as with most sports there is no substitute for speed but you need to be able to apply it.

I agree, my swing path is pretty good. I'll hit most fairways, and when I miss it's rarely wildly, but I reckon that's because I'm swinging within myself.
