I think that the many hundreds of thousands of "very ordinary people" who follow Horse Racing might be a bit offended by that comment

Look at the possitive side. At least it was a story on the Daily Fails Web site that does not involve casual racism or a chance to show a picture of a minor female celebrity in swim wear under the pretense of journalism. They were probably so far out of their comfort zone having to write about a news story that they could not blame on immigration they just couldn't cope.

It is a joke about the Daily Mail referenced by a previous post. The Wail has a morbid fascination with causes and cures for cancer. There is a website which lists all its stories on the subject.
