next 2 days golf

seeing as my son is home on a weeks leave from the RAF i've decided to take thursday and friday as holidays an we're having a couple of days golf.now seeing as he's a bit of a beginer an doesnt have a handicap we arnt too fussy were we go, so by-passing my club for something different we're of to edinburgh for a 10.30 tee-time tomorrow at Torphin hill golf club.got a deal 18 holes and soup and sandwiches for £22 the pair..cant be bad!!.;on friday we have a date at 10.57 on Gullane no. 3.links golf, what a treat for £23each.never played either before so really looking forward to it!!:fore:

It's a tight wee course, not overly long with a little bit of joy at the 15th (aptly named "The Saucer" - you'll find out why).
Always in tip-top condition, you will love it I'm sure.

well,had the first leg today Torphin hill.what a great wee course,first 4 holes take you up to a plataue on top of the pentlands where it genarally levels out a bit.quite a short course with a few driveable par 4's(always good fun).must say there are some good par 3's on here that kicked our a...s (5 par 3's an 1 par to show between us)however we both enjoyed a windy day on the hill and both played pretty well believe it or not.bring on tomorrow at gullane

Glad you had a great day out Tarmac. Gullane will maybe be a wee bit windy tomorrow if the forecast is anything to go by. Still an enjoyable course though.

I bought two of these vouchers for Torphinhill a while ago, used one 2 weeks ago and I can safely say when i use the 2nd i'll be getting a buggy!! Blowing out my ar5e after the first 4 holes!!!!
Nice wee course, good par 3's as you say and the view from the 15th (i think) is something else!

seen deal on internet for course torphin hill,short course right enough...played gullane no 1 years ago when just started taking golf serious,didnt to it justice...would love another trip through to try it again...hope you enjoy it

Same as me. Think I played with 'the old man' about twice.

Also, I am sure you are proud of your boy - the servicemen and serviceladies are all heroes IMO.
