hi guys

i am after abit of advice to be honest i am interested in taking up golf and i am after the best way of going about it should i go straight in for training or just go on the shooting range and see how i like it?

can i hire clubs or do i need to go and buy myself a set (used) i am thinking?

my son also wants to get involved he is 8 which i think is great hopefully he will like it clubs for him are not that expensive?

my problem is i dont really know anyone who can show me the ropes sort of thing :o

Is that a mis-type or are you really in Hull???

If I was you, I'd buy you and your nipper a wedge and a putter. Then, get yourself to a pitch 'n' putt near you.

See how you get on.

If you both like it - happy days! You can kick on from there.

If you don't then you've only shelled out for four clubs.

Golf is a VERY social game. As soon as you start you'll be surprised how many people you meet, etc.
