Hi All. Just signed up to this great site. Thought I'd give a brief intro on who I am and where I play at. I am a member at Chesterfield GC and have been playing for around 2 years and have a Hanicap of 20. Hope to join in on all the banter on here and pick up a few tips and maybe even offer some!!

I was in Chesterfield a couple of weeks ago and wondered if it had a golf course, your about an hour away from me.

Some of the Lads in the north west have met up quite a few times, keep your eye open.

Chesterfield has a few courses to choose from this is my course: http://www.chesterfieldgolfclub.co.uk/
But there a few others, Tapton Park is a good one as well certainly a challenge very hilly and underlating. Stanedge is good when the weather is kind as it has poor drainedge and can be a bog at times. Matlock is supposed to be good as well that is nearby. Renishaw Park is also excellent which is only a short drive away. Let me know if you are in the area again and I can give you a few pointers as to where to go or maybe meet for a game.

No problem. I can sign you in as a guest up at Chesterfield so it will only cost £15 instead of the normal £45. The course is not at it's best at the moment though loads of repair and maintenance work going on so loads of GUR'S everywhere also it is part of Walton wood which means there are leaves everywhere making it a lottery as to whether you find you ball or not. You course looks nice by the way.
