Hall of Famer
Took the opportunity to pop into Silvermere Golf Centre on the way to my mums and they had the new TM forged irons in the tour preferred MB. The blades look the business and were sleek looking over the ball (thin top line) and with minimal offset. They didn't have the MC (muscle cut) which I was interested in but they did have the CB (cavity back). These have a bit of thick top line not unlike th R9 or Burner irons and seemed to have a fair bit of offset, certainly on the 7 iron I was looking at.
However they do look pretty nice clubs and I can't wait to try them and see what TM's first forray into forged irons (except for more bladed versions 5 or so years back) feel like particularly compared to Mizzy JPX 800 Pro and their MP53. Mind you the £649 price tag is way too steep and even if they are the best feeling club I've hit I'm not forking out that much. Interestingly they have the TM Tour van there at the end of April offering a C/F fitting service (pre-bookable and charging for the session) and I am tempted to get along and see from there especially if there are deals to be had on the day.
