An improvement or not...?

The new Bushnells showcased on page 118 of the current magazine - I'm struggling to see why they bothered.
Admittedly they both have improved brightness (not really an issue with the V2) Also slightly higher magnification - again not really an issue with the V2.
But the other features are puzzling.
Giving yardages from 5 yards to 1 mile. 1 MILE!!! How far do you want to see?
Displaying yardages quicker - it only takes 2-3 seconds anyway..
From 125 yards in they display the yardage in 1/10th of a yard increments - people complain that Laser users don't need to know the distance to the nearest yard let alone the nearest 3 1/2 inches.... Maybe this has been developed specifically for Bernhard Langer.....

And both significantly more expensive.

Improvement for improvement's sake - totally unnecessary. A host of improvements that don't actually make a difference to the user.

And at an extra £100/£200 extra. I got my bushnell pro1600 two weeks before the new ones. Love it to pieces!

This is one of the main reasons I got a rangefinds, you cant re-invent the wheel!! So therefore jy temptation to get the latest version is rpetty much zero, had i gone for a Skycaddie then the new 3d version or whatevee they think up I would convince myself to get... Apart from that I love the Tour V2 and will only change it when it stops working :cheers:

They've obviously been designed for this forum, it won't be long before someone will be hitting drives up to a mile.
