Will he cover up every thing like his predessessors? Probably. I was reading today about the American cover up, and they spent 500m dollars in damages not that long ago, and another 10m odd recently. Shouldn't they be doing some good some where? Not just paying out compensation.

I guess given the number of Catholics in South America it is a positive move to break a millenium of tradition and appointing someone outside of Europe. He seems to be a more global choice. However given the travelling involved, strain of office, is 76 really the optimum age. Out of interest does anyone know how old each of the last 5 popes were when they came to office?
