This season has been a frustrating time to be honest, like many others I suspect, with quite a few seemingly good rounds ruined by 2 or 3 disaster holes. A couple of bouts of the shanks and a bout of sciatica haven't helped.
So yesterday was our last qualifier before the white tee's go away from the winter, stable ford format.
Started of with 4's on the first 6 holes to be a couple ahead of handicap, ended up turning with 18 points.
Then hit 7 of 9 greens on the back, making birdie on 12 but missing good birdie chances on 10, 11, 13,14,15, and 18 to come back 1 over gross for 23 points, total 41 points.
Gross 76, PB by one. Should see me cut back down to 9.8, maybe 9.6 if CSS goes out.
Real positive is that if I'd had my putting boots on on the back 9 it could have been 2 or 3 better.
Chuffed to finish the season on a high.
