Hi All,

Just joined the forum and thought i would introduce myself.

I've just got back in to golf (2 months ago) after a 10 year break and must say I'm loving it. Good time to start I think, it gives me all of the winter to get the swing together.

Managing to break 80 now quite consistently so hopefully I can keep it up for when it comes round to handicap time and getting better by the round.

I'll be looking to you guys for hints and tips as I'm well behind on all things golf. Last time I played a Titleist Professional was the in ball now a pro-v-1 ;)

Cheers

Ah I remember the "Professional" well - those were the days eh?

Seem to recall they were quite easy to lose - so just like the Pro-v then!!

Welcome and get posting

hiiii
i'm new to this forum too ,i saw most of the golfers there are so kind and i found the forum is really active~hope to become one of you all, thanks!

Bad move Frank.

Hello and welcome.

You have a similar story to mine as I also got back into golf in the last 12-18mths after being away from the game for about 10 years. (let me guess you had kids right?)

The improvement in my game this year has been susbstantial but then again I knew I had a game underneath the cobwebs its not like I was learning from scratch. I guess that will be the same with you.

Good luck.

No kids yet but did get married and moved house. Just couldn't afford the fees and what not as i was just finishing my apprenticeship at the time. Now I'm through all that and work for myself so can be quite flexible.

I've no problems tee to green. I can keep up with my mate (4 handicap) but the problems are pitching and putting, especially putting, I just cant seem to get the ball anywhere near the hole. Its always way to hard or miles short and with the putting green being closed I cant really get any practice in. Its all OK practicing on the carpet at home but its just not the same.

Plenty of time to get that all sorted though.

Hi new member I too have recently joined the forum and taken the game up 2 years ago.I dont think you have too worry too much about your handicap if you are breaking 80 regular, wish I was .I play off 18,not playing today winter league cancelled, where do you play?

to all three 'strangers' welcome. have a look at the arrange a game forum and get yourselves on the map

this is the place to vent your wrath at British winters screwing up our golf. It may get a bit silly or heated sometimes but you've got to let it out somewhere.

pawana001 and r18ngc - where are you based?
