New laptop

Dont throw money at buying MS office you can get a free download called Libre Office, gives you the same packages and saves in a format that MS users can open no problem.. As for laptop some people in the know about tech will give you better advice.

Well after doin a bit of homework on laptops for about £500, I found one which lo and behold PC world sells. An acre aspire f5 summat or other. It would be rude to not have a look so off I went. So on first impressions I thought it looked like pigs ear but hey don't be shallow.
So I asked the assistant for info on the laptop. He says it's nice, but by the time I have paid £100 for office, £50 for anti virus. £30 to set up computer £50 to transfer data off older laptop. I might as well buy a Mac book. At that point I think I had a stroke. £500 went to £750, he wasn't finished. We looked at Mac books things which then went to 1k plus pockets full of loose change.
When he started talking about Mac books I could see him thinking, am talking to the village idiot here. He knew I knew he knew.
Suffice to say I left PC world looking for the first bus to chuck me self under.
i am no where flippin nearer. My lad says buy a second hand Mac. Narrowing it down has just got flippin bigger.
