With winter nearly here and the temperatures dropping I thought I'd go and buy some a couple of new sweatshirts yesterday. Millets/Burton/M&S/Sports Direct/ DW Sports/ JD Sports.......nothing, well unless you want black or grey. I stopped buying black years ago. It soon fades. So I ended up online at Sports Direct and found them there, plus a load of other stuff, then the wife in and she got some stuff and then remembered she had a voucher so used that. So much more convenient and more choice than trawling around the shops.

Hope they fit or that convenience is out the window but assuming they do you're right about range/ease of using online

I guess the high st is pretty much just gonna have coffee shops and charity outlets and we'll only leave our homes for work and golf (probably just nostalgia but I'll miss high street shopping)

Due to a recent accident I was in need of some loose fitting shorts urgently doubt we would have got exactly what I wanted online first time... So herself was happy to hit the High St to ensure she got what was needed first attempt... When buying clobber I still prefer to see/feel try on my purchases...

Sure I get that.....but if it's not there, as in my case....

Well this is the thing. I order loads of stuff online, particularly football boots because ProDirectSoccer is the cheapest around for that, but if the size isn't right then it's a pain to return them - you have to box them up and post them, and it costs you the postage obviously unless they're defective.

With SportsDirect stuff I probably wouldn't order online because I've found their sizing to be inconsistent. One time I even bought two identical pairs of shorts from them (different colours) from a branch, and when I got them home I realised one pair was about half a centimetre smaller on the waist even though they were meant to be the same size, so they were obviously manufactured wrong.
