For the first time in 12 years I'm going to be Monday - Friday. 8-4!

No more night shifts, no more back shifts no more cover shifts. Every weekend off. Again, for the first time in 12 years I'll be able to play regular medal golf and plan my life instead of looking at a shift pattern!

Only downside is that I wont be able to play on a weekday morning when the course is dead before a back shift or a quiet afternoon round before the night shift but overall I think the advantages outweigh the negatives.

Bennie & Cumbrae Cup here I come! Fingers crossed I can get 3 years out of this post!

:whoo:

I made the change 5 years ago, after 13 years as a chef working silly hours then nights in IT

its great to have structure and weekends free (I work every Saturday as overtime but its by choice... and 3 expensive teenagers lol)

Enjoy and good luck with it Craw

Good stuff Crawford, is that it confirmed now ? As you said, always be wary when you go on holiday, as you will have a new job when you come back. ;-)
Know the Cumbrae Cup but what is the Bennie ?

Rothesay Golf Club, another 36 holer!

One I and the boys would love to play but only when it returns to they condition it used to be in.

When it does let me ken Craw please.

It never will. Plain and simple. They have taken a very bold step and reduced fees by £80 to try and introduce new blood. Its on its knees and need ssupport not kicked in the teeth when its down. They are down to two greens staff, Jimmy Dougal is away.

Get your ass over and support the club.

Crawford there is a difference between supporting a club and hoying your hard earned cash away. When we go away we all want to play a place that is decent, now I know from the past that the entry to the Bennie is not expensive but still I for one do not want to enter anywhere if it's a midden for the day,

Hopefully it can recover and we do get across for a good days golfing soon.
