AVGC... I have left a couple of messages in post kinda offering you a game now and then but guess you missed them.

Sorry mate defiantly missed - always up for a game at the Vale , enjoyable course

Let me know when you want a round

Looking at the rest of your bag, it looks like you've already made your mind up anyway:rolleyes: The question is, if you opted for something that wasn't Taylormade (hard to believe I know), would the rest of your bag have to follow suit?
For the record, my vote goes to the best all round iron at the moment (IMHO) - Titleist AP2.

The rest of my bag would stay exactly as it is.

Ive tried the Titleist AP2, CB, MB , Taylor Made CB and MB and Ping S55 so maybe am qualified to comment...

TM MC and AP2 were the stand outs for me. S55 also good but they didn't have the same consistency as the other 2. The TM's were about 5/6 yards longer but I think I had more feel/control with the Titleists.

TM suggested I go for custom 2Deg Up/1 Inch long spec and Titleist suggested standard length and lie just FWIW.

Funny how the OP slaughtered me for wanting to go from G25 to I25 just because they suited my eye visually on the short irons and here he is doing a similar thing. That aside, if he can hit the Titleist and is happy to get a split set (I'm not a fan of these) then I would say go for it. Despite our differences, I think sometimes a change of sticks can be a catalyst to better playing even if its just the placebo affect of new clubs in the bag. If they aren't going to break the bank then why not!!!

Even with non-TM karma upsetting the OCD? I doubt it. As I said, it looks like you've already talked yourself into the TM's anyway. Anyone else's opinion (mine included) is pretty much redundant or irrelevant. If you're going to say you're completely impartial, I'm going to say the chances that you assembled the rest of your current bag on the element of complete impartiality is zero.

I Slaughtered you for buying irons you didn't like and then moaning like an old woman about them every single day and then informing us and a daily basis your updated process on your moaning about irons you didn't like and then your two months custom fit on new irons

I have just tried a few irons out over the weeks on the possibility of getting new ones if I find some that click in all aspects and created 1 thread

I'm pretty sure I'm doing nothing similar to what you did ( or should I say put the forum through :D )

Haven't talked myself into anything

Going to visit two places in the next couple of weeks to try Mizuno and Titleist

I could end up with nothing different

I buy clubs based on the whole picture as opposed to just on the make of them.

I liked the white drivers and fairways woods and they performed better than any others

I also have non TM equipment at home and at times they go in the bag - possibly getting a Ping 2 Iron and trying a Scotty out

So in conclusion I don't have any type of OCD and more than happy to be open about various makes

Hmmm....I'd recommend a TM ball to go into your TM bag. A pair of Adidas shoes might lower your handicap even further? Based on the whole picture, it looks like Titleist is spoiling the view.

Do you have anything useful to contribute or just posting try and be clever ?

Sorry Mr. Garcia - my mistake. I thought for a moment you started a thread because you couldn't make up your mind whether or not to buy new TM clubs. If you look back at the posts, I recommended the AP2's. If you look back at your own posts, it looks like you are on the cusp of buying new TM irons, when you're not gushing about how good they look..

Haven't tried any of the MB/Blade type of clubs but was thinking of them in the shorter irons possibly.

Also gushed about how the Titleist CB's looked also but don't let that get in the way of your nonsense as not on the cusp of buying anything yet.

I was actually looking for views on all the clubs regardless of my personal feelings - you gave your views on one set - great

You then decided to attach to that a lot of other guff about TM and my current bag and started to try a few little digs into the mix

The view on the AP's was welcome - the rest of your nonsense wasn't

If you feel new bats are going to help knock a couple more shots off the handicap then find the right ones and pull the trigger!! Just curious bud how long have you been at 5??

What do you want to achieve? Greater consistency, more control to shape shots, distance, greater cool factor?

You could also look at hybrid sets, for example MP54 long/medium and MP4s in short irons? Come with TT DGs.

Going to give the guy at Tring a bell about the Mizunos - interested in the idea about the hybrid set

Think consistency and control is a main aim

I first got to 5 last September time but crept up to 6 at the moment but playing very.

Think new bats would certainly give a little bit more distance - consistency is key for me though
