Bobirdie
Journeyman Pro
Had my first round with my new irons today.
I had a fitting done a few weeks ago and i was fitted for projext x 5.5. I was playing the 6.0 and hitting them fine but i was just curious of what my ss was etc. I need to be playing twice a week to get the most out the 6.0s. i liked the dispertion and how they were in the wind but if i missed a week or 2 of golf i felt it with the irons.
Anyway went to American golf to see what they had and ended up coming out with a set of Benross rip speed tour irons. They are fitted with R300s and ive always get on well with that shaft so decided to take the plunge on them after finding a cheap decent set of irons with 5.5s failed.
Saw these at the start of last year and loved the look of them. They were on sale at £229 fitted with R300s as standard i thought it was a bargain.
Had a few hits with the 6 iron and really liked it.
I was looking for something a bit forgiving as i wont be playing as much this year so these were perfect as they dont look chunky looking down on them.
Only problem i have is all the lofts are 3 degree stonger than my R9tp's were so effectivley i have 3-9 iron. Once i figure out my distances il probably get a 48 to fill the gap.
4 iron
6 iron
