New Go-Kart question???

Received my new GoKart last night, gone to try it out. Can somebody confirm that when you insert the lithium battery you have to press the "power" button on the actual battery itself to get it to operate, and does the row of green lights stay on all the time the kart is in use please?
It's a bit different to the old model!!

Press, hold for about 5 seconds and they should all stay on.
When I had one the lights never seemed to go out when I used the trolley.
Press and hold for 5 to turn off...
