You only have to give as much info as you want to - opinions always welcome - they won't necessarily be agreed with - but welcome to the great debate.

You can always try the FAQ/Help tab at the top of the page ;)

Hi and welcome!

Most of us put our club line up and handicap into our signature - see mine for an example. I haven't addeed much elsewhere in my profile.

As far as what to take from / give to the forum, don't be afraid to post a reply to a thread when you have an opinion. And don't be surprised if people disagree with you (most will do so politely).

Try to avoid asking for a load of help or advice without posting some yourself - some members get annoyed with that.

Enjoy yourself!

Welcome Paddy.

Just get stuck in! :D

How much or little you put in your sig is totally up to you. I change mine depending on my mood sometimes

As a fairly new member myself I would give a couple of pieces of advice.

If you use a chipper I would leave that out of your club list for starters. Take what Timgolfy said with a pinch of salt no one gets abusive really. Check old threads for topics that have already been discussed recently before posting same questions etc.

Most of all get involved, have fun and try not to get groomed by smiffy

Thanks for the tip on club list, profile duly edited. Whys that though? Do people see it as cheating cos they're banned in comps?
