I have the Synr-G's and the leather started to peel after 2 months and overall are not that comfy, but no wearing in problems, the biggest problem with FJ is that they are poor ventilators. The Ecco Ultra's I bought where sent back due to a manufacturing fault (the sole splits), but are great ventilators but due take a couple of rounds to wear in.

I need some new shoes for the summer, not sure what to get, might try the new Ecco white Ultra performance.

I cut my lawn wearing an old pair of AQLs. Reasonable grip, vaguely waterproof, and very comfy. Sadly I had to throw them away due to building work. May need to relegate a pair of classics to lawn mowing duty when I get back from
Fl. Ostrich and calf leather mowing shoes. Class.

got aql's and so far so very good. only splodged a bit in standing water but no problems. agree with above leather is better
