My neighbour (the one who moved) had a resin drive .. it kept crumbling as was done poorly so he got it ripped up 6 months before they moved and put down a block paving one

He was recommended by a friend, his driveway looks pretty good

Yes seeing previous work is vital, the gyppos that did mine had already done two other houses in the street and I could see their work was good. They also built a new wall between my two dropped kerbs and it still looks great.
