Despite telling myself I was happy with my club setup after buying my Titleist AP2 irons just before Xmas I had problems with my Callaway FT9 hitting the wind against and dropping like a stone.

On a whim whist at work the morning I set up a test with the assistant pro on the Titleist D2 910 and after an hour or so ended up with a new toy!

Bought the D2 with a reg Diamana shaft and set it at D2 for the best trajectory height for me. We tested it off the tee on a par 5 with real balls so I am happy that Iv'e got the club that best suits. Competition round tomorrow - keep fingers crossed!

Cracking driver have been using the Ka'li shift in stiff but dont like it ,it feels dead, but used the D3 with the RIP and what a difference they were set at A1 what ever that means,it great my pro shop has demo clubs we can take out.

Never felt the love for Titleist. Personal preference as they look great but historically the sweetspot was the size of a pea and I could never find it. Glad you're happy with it and hope it does the business in the comp for you

I'm in the market for a new driver and the D2 beats the R11 on looks but would agree with Homer that previous models aint the most forgiving clubs.

Time for some demo clubs me thinks.

909 D2 was pretty good and the 910 D2 is pretty forgiving IMO try them you wont be disappointed!

I'll cross 'em for you if you do the same for me, My new 910D2 with same shaft gets it's first outing tomorrow.

Mine are crossed for you mate.
Gave the G10 it's first outing today........ It was absobloodylutely awesome!!!
Bit of detail on YG.

Hope the Titleist plays ball tomorrow for you DB! ;)

Thanks to you all, I hope that my back which is sore now from hitting about 70 ball in the testing recovers overnight!

Best of luck with yours too tomorrow Drawboy

Just an update

Woke up 4am with a really stiff back after testing and buying the new driver Saturday late afternoon

Teed off 8.07 and because I couldnt turn properly I just tried to knock s**t out of the ball. After 8 awful holes I nearly rang the pro shop to suggest that they get some vaseline as I might bring back the new driver when, all of a sudden my tee shot on the par 5 9th, with a really slow swing and great tempo, went miles, with the trajectory I was looking for.... !!!

I then proceeded to hit every drive (when the driver was needed) the same.

Rubbish round and score but I feel that when the back recovers the club is going to pay dividends.

The asst. pro has a jar of vaseline for sale ... unopened .. offers?

Well it was persisting down today when I got to the club. I didn't really want to play but went out anyway,If it wasn't for the new driver I wouldn't have gone out. I didn't have any tempo to my swing with anything so the new 910 suffered. I never hit a good iron so hitting a really good drive wasn't on the cards, I was coming out of everything early and not concentrating on my game, I walked off after 10 and went to get dried off. I'll hope for better weather for next weeks outing.

Is this Titliests best selling driver ever? Congrats on the new toy, hope it went well!

I demo'ed the 910 driver last week on the range and found them a great club. Must admit the sweetspot wasn't huge but as long as you swing within yourself and not trying to smash it 350yards then you should be fine.

I'd happily have one if I could afford it. :)
