recently got fitted for a new driver ( always been a nike man) so went to the fitting looking to try the latest nike gear, tried a few out and was suprised that the one i hit best was a ping k15 :D, would never have even tried it until the pro suggested it , so traded in the old nike driver for £60 and now have my first ping club in the bag ( is that a sign im getting old) anybody else got one if so how do you get on with it, pro said its set up with draw bias so should help stopping the dreaded slice

Glad you found a club you can hit and sometimes it does us all well to try new sticks we wouldnt of thought of before because it could be a saver. Dont worrie about having a ping in time people will come round and also have 1 in there bags :)

With the new clubs that are coming out custom fit is the way forward imo. Only thing is does that mean we cant blame the club if its custom fitted?

Tried it on a Ping demo last year. Was put off as the K range was designed as a game improver set and so thought the driver wouldn't suit. It is so easy to hit and went really well. I have to say if anyone is in the market for a new big dog it is well worth a look at

Just got fitted for a K15 myself!

I went into my local AG on Friday afternoon, which also has a range attached to it, and they had a Ping demo day on with a professional Ping fitter present. I didn't have an appointment, but I asked one of the staff if I could go and have a nosey. I'd played 18 holes earlier that day so had my shoes and bats in the car.

I went up and was put in a warm-up bay to hit some balls with my own G10, which had 10.5 degrees of loft and a high launch V2 shaft. Was then moved onto the adjacent bay which the Ping man was using for his laptop/launch monitor gubbins. Hit a few balls with my G10 and was averaging 197 carry, 213 total. The backspin was something approaching 4000rpm!! I'd always felt that the ball flight was very high and then just dropped like a stone, and so it was proving. He handed me a G15 with 10.5 degrees of loft and a Serrano regular shaft. Better flight and distance, but still too much back-spin. Next was a G15 with 12 degrees of loft and a stiff shaft. With a clubhead speed of circa 90mph, he said I was right on the line of regular/stiff. Didn't like that one, so was given a 12 degree K15 with a stiff shaft. Pulled most shots with that left and was then handed a 12 degree K15 with a regular shaft and loved it. Dispersion was tighter and was getting 217 carry and 233 total. Still not huge distances, but an enormous 20 yard improvement on my G10!

Got 10% off the sticker price of £199 as it was the demo day and a £50 trade-in allowance on the G10, so a new big dog in the bag for £129!

Played with it this morning and hit one or two bad ones, but without doubt I'm getting more distance on the ones I do hit well. Will take a few rounds to fully get used to it and am really surprised to be playing a 12 degree driver, but the stats don't lie!

got one myself, best £130 i spent, cant miss with it,im seeing parts of the course ive never seen before, the fairways :D
