New Driver for 2026

Sound advice.

Had the 917 for years, upgraded to the TSR2 last year.
Pro said I wouldn't find anything extra in the GT range.
Advantage of staying with titleist is all the shafts I've accumulated over the years fit

Used to be the same with cobra just buying the previous years head and swapping the shafts selling on the heads.

Unfortunately they’ve changed the adaptor on the new adapt so this now had to end my run.

I just posted on another thread about drivers, but I guess it will be better to go into detail here. As everyone loves a good driver story :p

3 years ago, I was a driver hoe, I just couldn't find one which made me go wow, never been particularly good with the driver, my 3 wood is straighter and more accurate, but, hey, everyone loves to hit a driver.

Ended up with a Stealth HD with an extra 15g weight in the back of it, and it changed my golf; everything was roses for a few years.

I had a 1-year break and sold all my gear, but kept my stealth HD head. I started playing again late last year, and while my driving was fine, just needed to get something a bit newer, and even more forgiving, and after hitting some ping fairways and hybrids, needed a ping driver, even if it meant losing yards and being more accurate, so after looking and looking and looking, found a Ping G430 head, to save a bit of money got a ping adapter on my gamer shaft. I've only hit about 50 balls with it since I got it, but it's just a really beautiful club, and everything i wanted it to be, and going back to non-carbon faces feels really fresh too. I would also be happy with a G410-G425 as well. So I'm with the other people who say get a Ping

*I was using a Tsi3 before the stealth hd, and that wasn't really suited for me, would of prefurred a Tsi2, also tried a stealth 2 hd for a bit too and didn't like it.*

I am a Callaway man now, after using a few other brands. This is down to their adapter and the abillity to adjust it to suit me. I'm currently on the hunt for a "new" one.

I think callaway has the best adjustable adapter. Why can't that be the standard for all adapters?

As I have journalled somewhere here, I have gone through many drivers. Mainly older models, 'bargains' and weird stuff. Finally decided to get something modern, affordable and to my specs (high loft, lightweight shaft, draw bias). Ended up with a Honma and yes I am as surprised as anyone. But it works for me.
