Hi everyone, recently i had a fitting for Mizuno MP64's at AG in the trafford centre by Gareth, who I must say was superb and did not push me in to any purchase. i have used the irons on about 5-6 occasions and they are fantastic and surprisingly forgiving. Had to get use to difference in distance but think getting there. Was also surprised he recommended stiff shafts and they seem to be working.
Over a period of a couple months and before bought new irons my driving has become really poor. it used to be best part of my game and huge percentage of the time would be in play, with a nice draw and carry of about 210/220yards,as I'm not a long hitter. Well now i just hit low hook after low hook. It is having a massive bearing on my scores and my swing can't be any different and surely not to go from one extreme to the other. My ping G15 has a regular shaft and i don't know if that is cause but my G15 3 wood behaves really well.
As a result booked myself in with Gareth atAG on friday with view to getting new driver and possibly 3 wood and will try out various combos.
Has anyone been in a similar position and also any recommendations of clubs should try - thinking ping, cobra and TM.
Any help much appreciated. cheers
