New Club First Impression

I'm off to play in a comp at my new club this afternoon. That's a first for me. No one knows me there. My question is, would you be yourself from day one and to hell with it, or would be a little reserved at first and see how the land lies before being your normal self?

Obviously try not to upset anyone but that should be a basic life requirement anyway.

That’s a loaded question as your normal is to consistently criticise the club and committees

Always be aware that when meeting new people be yourself but avoid sensitive subjects like politics etc

If you try to be something you’re not, you’ll be found out. If you share your innermost thoughts on life, the universe and everything, you may alienate yourself.

Just go and enjoy your game and the company of others, and suss out how the land lies before truly opening up.
